Tom Niemandt takes an unexpected trip to the Karoo, and meets an electric group of people who change his life forever.

Tom struggles to adapt in Merweville and is drawn to a search for Gert's father. Herman comes to help Gerwin with her home leading to tension between him and Stef.

Tom's friends from the Cape show up, which opens old wounds. Meanwhile the book club holds a variety concert that tests several relationships.

The arrival of a sensual guest turns Tom's world on it's head. Hanli tries to work on her relationship with Johan. Sofia can't get enough of the book Tom gets them to read.

There's a ghost walking in town. Sofia makes money, Tom and Gerwin chase cat evil and Gert gets an unexpected visitor. Lillie and Jan go camping.

In a single day, three of the book club members are confronted with their own lives and sometimes pain full truths. Like all of us, they wish they can sometime see into the future.

It's Sofia's 65th birthday and she finally gets her drivers license. She decides to visit the book club members.

Anna becomes more aware of her impending death. Oblivious to her crisis, life goes on for everyone else and Tom, Herman and Gert decide to take the law into their own hands.

While Anna's life is in the balance, each book club member is confronted with their own humanity. For some it brings liberation, to others insight, but everyone is affected.

It's a difficult time in the town. Anna struggles to make peace with her new heart. Stef and Herman's relationship is off balance and nothing seem to run smooth for Johan and Hanli.

Gerwin fights fiercely on behalf of, and for André but is uncertain about the outcome. Tom and Lillie play cat and mouse games and Sofia also has a plan.

On a day when time stands still and memories flood through Tom, Lillie and Sofia's makes a discovery that can tear the book club apart.

Old love is rekindled, new relationships start, a family tie is bound and Tom must make the biggest decision of his life.
