Phelan is suspicious of Nicola's bid to stop him coming into her flat for a coffee, and Johnny is grateful to discover Aidan is planning to donate a kidney to Carla. Meanwhile, Gemma is chuffed to hear how Chesney stood up for her.

Phelan storms his way into Nicola's flat, and Eva is caught out when both Adam and Leanne want to spoil her for her birthday. Elsewhere, Faye is shocked to find a prescription for Seb in Gary's pocket, and Sally is shocked when Tim offers Steve first refusal on his share of Streetcars.

Desperate to get Phelan out of the flat, Nicola pretends she is having problems with the baby. Meanwhile, Eva tries to get out of her birthday party, a nervous Aidan tells his family he is ready to donate his kidney, and Sally fears her marriage is over.

Craig's obsession with Bethany affects his work, and Eva's ruse to sidestep Adam backfires. Meanwhile, Nicola moves into number 11.

Adam is stunned when Eva says she doesn't want him to go to America with her. Bethany is devastated when she is sacked from the club and blames Craig, assuming he blew the whistle. Meanwhile, Gary is intrigued by Phelan's reaction to a conversation with the Mill Developer.

Summer's school work suffers as she tries to cope with the household chores, and Craig arrives with Valentine's roses for Bethany. Meanwhile, Liz is shocked when she discovers who Ali, the new GP trainee at the practice really is.

Eileen and Eva are shocked to find a comatose Billy in the flat, and Bethany tells Sarah she has arranged for her to go on a date with Aidan. And during the Race for your Wife charity run, Robert drops to one knee and proposes to Michelle.

Craig shows signs of obsessive compulsive disorder around the house while an oblivious Bethany waits at the Bistro. Meanwhile, Liz feels caught in the middle when Ali asks her not to tell Michelle he is around, and Eva realises she is out of her depth trying to help Billy.

Bethany is convinced Craig stood her up because of the way she treated him. Elsewhere, Michelle tries to talk to Ali about his placement and why he hasn't been in touch, and Carla tells Sinead that Daniel is still in love with her.

The Connors wait expectantly as first Aidan then Carla are wheeled down to the operating theatre. Meanwhile, Summer is shocked at the state she finds Billy in, and Michelle tells Robert she is sure she can start afresh with Ali.

At the hospital, Johnny and Roy bond over their love of Carla as they wait for news of the operation, while Billy begs Lee's forgiveness for his past treatment of him. Elsewhere, Michelle has a go at Liz for not telling her about Ali being at the surgery

Eileen is surprised by the turnaround in Billy and quizzes him about his apparent speedy recovery from the painkiller withdrawal. Johnny assures Roy that he will take care of Carla while the cafe owner is looking after his mother, and Phelan makes a copy of Nicola's flat keys without her knowing.

Liz warns Eileen that Phelan is bad news, and Sarah is shocked to see Lee heading up to his brother Billy's flat. Meanwhile, Shona is unimpressed by David rolling in drunk after another night out with Josh.

Nicola tells Gary she thinks Phelan called the police and knows about Seb being in the flat. Meanwhile, Lee is angry when Billy refuses his request to stay a couple of nights, and Kevin offers Jenny a friendly ear.
