Singapore has a double-crisis on her hands: firstly, a Livestream Killer goes online and asks people to cast their vote online in order to determine whether a victim he has captured and tortured should live or die; then, convicted serial killer Derek Ho - sentenced to hang within the week - breaks out of captivity and is now loose on the island nation.

Elaine faces a looming threat of her own when she tries to bring a cult leader to justice for causing the death of Miki's friend. And Angela must confront a tragedy of her recent past when she takes on a case involving the death of a young child.

A teenager is stabbed to death multiple times in what looks like a ritual killing. And the discovery of a toddler's skeleton - hidden in the wall of a HDB flat - opens up a case that goes back twenty years. Meanwhile, Dennis discovers a conspiracy within his law firm that has dire consequences for the people he loves.

Derek uses Winnie as an accomplice to resolve a long-simmering issue from his past - his twisted relationship with his older sister, Helen. Razali and Isaac are temporarily distracted by a case that is turning more eerie by the hour - a group of teenagers summoning a dark otherworldly figure to do their bidding and take revenge, leading to the death of one of their own.
