Season 3 Episodes
1. Episode 1
Insp Han and SSgt Razali are in a race against time when Richard Chung, a wealthy businessman is kidnapped from his home by two men and a woman, Agnes, who drives the kidnap vehicle. Jacob and Sabrina must defend Agnes on the charge of kidnapping, a capital offence which carries the death penalty.
2. Episode 2
When a man dies during a supposed exorcism, Adam – the medium conducting the ritual – is brought in for questioning. There are shocks in store when it is revealed that Adam had an affair with the victim’s wife. But the biggest shock is reserved for Jacob, who has to defend him.
3. Episode 3
Jacob is called upon by the unlikeliest client of all – Carl Liu, the man whom he blames for his girlfriend Rachel’s murder. Carl has new information that will supposedly exonerate him, and identify Rachel’s real murderer. Is he lying? And can Jacob afford not to believe him?
4. Episode 4
When Insp Han and SSgt Razali investigate the murder of a pub owner in an alley, they encounter a suspect who might turn out to be Tiger Chan, a lawyer who notoriously skipped town after embezzling millions from his clients. The only catch is, Tiger Chan supposedly died overseas several years ago.
5. Episode 5
An old lady is beaten to near-death in her HDB flat, sparking a manhunt for the maid who is accused of committing the crime. When Jacob and Stephanie represent the maid, Su, they find her to be silent and uncooperative. Is she harbouring a secret? And can they break her? Meanwhile, SSgt Razali finds a potential love interest.
6. Episode 6
A secondary schoolteacher dies from killer litter – a flowerpot to the head. DSP Soh takes a personal interest in the case as it occurs in her son’s school. When evidence surfaces that it might be more than an accident, the police – and then the lawyers – uncover a shocking secret within the school.
7. Episode 7
Shots are fired in the home of Insp Darren Low, an officer with the Special Crimes Branch. His wife lies dead from a bullet to the neck, and there are only two people who can tell SSgt Razali what happened – Insp Low, who has gone missing, and Insp Han, who was discovered at the scene and now lies in hospital, critically injured.
8. Episode 8
The investigators arrive at the scene of a brutal double-murder at a HDB block: two women are dead from multiple stab wounds. As they track down the murderer, the police officers uncover a web of sex and deception that took place in the flat prior to the murders.
9. Episode 9
When a teenager jumps to his death from the window of his HDB flat, suicide appears to be the most reasonable explanation. But as the officers dig deeper, they uncover a suicide cult and a charismatic leader who gives Jacob and Stephanie one of the toughest cases of their career.
10. Episode 10
A man drives up to the Accidents & Emergency entrance of a hospital with a severed appendage. When he dies from loss of blood, the investigators take a close look at his family ties, only to discover a pattern of abuse and adultery that has gone on for years.
11. Episode 11
A young boy runs amok, seemingly targeting random victims within a HDB neighbourhood, stabbing them to death. The officers engage in a real-time manhunt, trailed by a documentary camera crew doing a special report on the local criminal justice system.
12. Episode 12
Two murders occur in the same HDB neighbourhood over a period of two days. Coincidence, or the early signs of a serial killer? Insp Han and SSgt Razali must find out, before more murders occur. They are taken aback when they find out the truth.
13. Episode 13
When a young trainee lawyer is found strangled to death in her own home, suspicion is cast on the managing partner of the law firm where she works – Harris Fong. Jacob gets a call from his old boss, with a desperate plea to represent him in a sensational murder trial involving office sex and politics.
14. Episode 14
A ghost from Insp Han’s past returns to haunt him: Chin, a man he put away fifteen years prior for the murder of his wife, is released from prison. He has an axe to grind with Insp Han and his family, blaming the officer for his long years of incarceration. Now, he is after revenge, and he won’t stop till he gets it.
15. Episode 15
Insp Han goes on the stand, charged with the murder of Chin. There are three versions of the events: one from Insp Han’s perspective; one from Ken, his son who was kidnapped by Chin; and one from Chin’s daughter, Amy, who arrived just as the shooting took place. Which one is fact and which one fiction? Will Insp Han face life in prison?
