Series 2 Plot
Having cracked The Juggler case with his long-suffering partner, the resurrected DI Major has finally reached his potential as the top cop in the SIU. But it came at a price. At last realising that his best friend had shacked up with his wife Kelly while he was “away” (and a bit before), their partnership is over, and the pair go their own ways. But when a 20-year old cold case is reopened, the pair find themselves back together and thrown into the action. With an impending divorce, the return of his long-time absentee dad, and danger around every corner, the pressure seems to be getting to Major and he starts exhibiting strange behavioural glitches. However, much to Carver’s concern, the problems are more serious than a typical reboot can solve, and our cyborg hero may be looking at terminal failure.

Series 2 Episodes
1. Episode 1
Major, Carver and Kelly have gone their separate ways. Things are looking up for the AI-enhanced Major, whilst Carver is gunning for a promotion and is knee deep in a new case.
2. Episode 2
Carver and Major receive new information on the Chelsea Bridge Case – a £50 million robbery committed twenty years ago by a gang who seemed to vanish into thin air.
3. Episode 3
DCS Dennett officially reopens the Chelsea Bridge case, reuniting Major with his absent father, Clifford, who failed to solve the case 20 years earlier. As Major's AI becomes increasingly unstable, Dr. Parfit and Carver clash over the solution.
4. Episode 4
Major's glitchy AI seriously impacts his police work. Dr. Parfitt's solution to Major's problems lead to a troubling realisation for Dennett.
5. Episode 5
Carver deals with an unstable Major, and Dennett calls in a favour from Millikan Biotech. When the detective inspectors are assigned to a witness protection case with some familiar faces, Carver learns shocking truths and confronts Major.
6. Episode 6
When Carver and Kelly find a collapsed Major with just three hours left to live, they try to get him to accept the truth. Major is determined to solve the Chelsea Bridge case and exonerate his dad before his AI shuts down.
