1. First Cuts
In the series opener, Mark worries that Ryan’s carving skills won’t stack up as they create a giant modern totem pole. Meanwhile, seasoned pro Pete Ryan gives Pioneer’s rookie carvers a surprise job to cut their teeth on.
2. The Last Resort
Ken is challenged with carving an archway for a resort owned by one of Pioneer’s biggest and most demanding clients. Ryan and the junior carvers compete to create the most popular items in a charity auction.
3. Battle of the Bench
Ryan and Ken’s contrasting personalities and styles threaten to derail a bench carving for a Wisconsin client. André enlists Dean and Cento to carve a special memorial table for the Army.
4. Pain of Thrones
When a U.S. senator commissions a massive medieval dining table, Paul decides to build one that’s truly fit for a king. Paul’s over-the-top designs and a tight deadline soon have everyone breathing fire.
5. Don't Bet On It
Four carvers are tasked with creating posts for a gazebo that must all have the same professional look – but only three of the carvers are pros. Ryan and Dean surprise their Pioneer bosses with new lunch benches.
6. Locking Horns
Mark and Paul butt heads on the design of a ram-inspired picnic table. Junior carver Dean receives his first solo commission from a local church, but finishing the job may require some divine intervention.
7. Chip off the Old Block
A rare commission for a garden trellis inspires Ken to dream big, but the enormous job soon turns into a nightmare. Paul’s son Jacob joins the carvers, but his first carving is downright scary.
8. Tree of Life
A commission for a family tree inspires Paul to carve alongside his son Jacob but the job threatens to splinter their relationship. Dean reels in a carving for a native village, and teaches Ken about his native culture.
9. Face Off
The fur starts to fly when Pete and Mark don’t see eye to eye on a bear carving’s facial expression. Ryan teaches the junior carvers how to make a quick buck by producing quick-carvings for a craft fair.
10. A Wing and a Prayer
Ryan’s assigned a giant eagle carving and hatches a plan to enlist Pete for his animal expertise, but gets more than he bargained for. Bryan Sr. asks his grandson to produce a carving for a relative’s store.
11. Something's Afoot
Pete and Ryan go toe to toe on carving a mountain lion family, while the unique challenge of carving the torch for the Canada Winter Games has Mark almost breathing fire.
12. Strange Bedfellows
Mark is assigned a huge bed commission, despite having never carved a bed before. Ryan introduces Little Man to ice carving on what turns out to be a monster of a job.
13. Big Relief
Pioneer boss Bryan Sr. assigns Paul and Pete their most important job yet – a memorial carving for a friend of Bryan’s. Meanwhile, Mark helps Ryan carve out a deal for a new truck.
14. Season's End
As a blizzard bears down on the Pioneer yard, Ryan races to finish a Tiki bar commission, while Mark and Pete try to get a grip on their most unusual carving yet.
