1. Around the Lake District

January 1st, 2010

Renowned for its natural beauty the Lake District is a spectacular area to view by rail. This is a journey around Cumbria and the Lake District which begins at Carnforth, through to Oxenholme, then Stavely and then on to Windermere, home to the Windermere Steamboat Museum. The journey then follows onto Cark, Ulverston and finally the city of Carlisle.

2. Central Highlands

January 8th, 2010

From the rolling hills of Perthshire to the jagged mountains of Skye, this program takes you on one of Great Britain's most outstanding scenic railway journeys, visiting the various tourist attractions along the way. On this spectacular journey you'll see expert glass-blowing, whiskey distilling, the Highland Games, beautiful towns and villages, all amidst the splendor of the Beautiful Scottish Highlands. Finally British Rail's famous Class 37 diesels carry you along the final stage from Inverness to the Kyle of Lochalsh.

3. Northern England

January 15th, 2010

From the heart of the Yorkshire Dales to the majestic city of Carlisle, the program takes you on one of the most outstanding scenic journeys, visiting the many tourist attractions along the way. Ancient castles, falconry, rare animals, and delightful towns and villages are all overlooked by spectacular limestone scenery, wild fells, and beautiful greenery of the Wide Eden Valley.

4. Southwest England

January 22nd, 2010

From the cathedral city of Exeter to the rugged cliffs of Land's End, this program takes you to one of Britain's most outstanding scenic journeys, visiting the many tourist attractions along the way. Historic towns and cities, small fishing villages, countless beaches and quite a few surprises too, all framed by the beautiful backdrop of sea and moor. Carried along by Intercity and steam railway, this is a journey through the ancient heart of England's South West that you will never forget.

5. West Coast of Scotland

January 29th, 2010

The historic West Coast of Scotland can boast hundreds of mighty mountains, shimmering rocks, and miles of magnificent coastline. Even in the wettest of weather there is always plenty to see, and the West Highland Line travels through the very heart of it. Since 1884, the West Highland Line has provided a spectacular introduction to this breathtaking region.
