Season 2 Plot

The second season of the Australian police-drama Blue Heelers premiered on the Seven Network on 21 February 1995 and aired on Tuesday nights at 8:30 PM. The 41-episode season concluded 21 November 1995. The cast for this season was the same as that of the preceding season, with the omission of Ann Burbrook as Roz Patterson and with the introduction of Damian Walshe-Howling as Adam Cooper to take her place. This season of Blue Heelers was released on DVD on 1 December 2005 and was released in a two-part release; and later as a complete set.

The town's first bank robbery puzzles the police and leads to an unexpected suspect.

An old friend of Tom's who betrayed his trust returns to make amends. The ex-con's return to town moves PJ and Rose to reopen his case.

5. Out of Harm's Way

March 21st, 1995

A man's abduction of his daughter from his ex-wife gets Adam personally involved when the father insists on only negotiating with him. Nick finds Adam's rifle missing from his locker. He is concerned, knowing that Adam is worried at the prospect of being HIV positive. Adam gets his HIV-test results.

6. Breaking the Cycle

March 28th, 1995

A boy at a local school has severely assaulted one of his classmates. After questioning at the station, the boy is charged and sent home. The next morning, the police are called to a tragic case of domestic violence, a case that forces Rose to confront her past when she makes a very wrong assumption.

7. Heavy Traffic

April 4th, 1995

A traffic blitz in Mt. Thomas causes headaches for Tom and the rest of the Blue Heelers when Nick's friend is killed in an accident.

8. Gun Law

Maggie's gun goes missing, and there could be more dire consequences if it is not found quickly.

PJ and Rose investigate a clever lawyer for crimes against a Chinese restaurant owner and his family.

When a plane goes down in dense bushland near Mt. Thomas, the Heelers are involved in a search and rescue operation., discovering a politician dragging a dead girl from plane wreckage.

Maggie is concerned for the welfare of two children when their mother becomes involved with a gang of bikers.

Nick has the chance to run the station during Tom's absence, but his job is made more complicated by the discovery of an unidentified body in Mt. Thomas which brings Nick's old homicide-squad rivals to town.. PJ investigates two brothers who were the chief suspects in an interstate payroll robbery,

22. Paranoia - Part 1

It's a bad day for all concerned when a gunman holds Chris and Adam hostage at the pub, and Tom is shot while acting as a mediator. When Investigators probe allegations of corruption among the Heelers, tempers fray.

23. Paranoia - Part 2

July 25th, 1995

Tom Croydon is shot at the Imperial Hotel. The mood of paranoia among the Heelers intensifies as they set out to capture the prison escapees and avenge Tom's shooting.

A routine robbery investigation is complicated when it is discovered that Aboriginal artefacts are involved. The squad adopt a kid-gloves approach to investigate the theft of Aboriginal artefacts, but run into trouble just the same.

25. The Homecoming Queen

August 8th, 1995

An old schoolfriend visits Tom and soon comes under suspicion in a robbery investigation. Could there be a link between a robbery at a concert and the return of Tom's old schoolfriend?

26. Secrets

August 15th, 1995

Pro-active policing is required when a local schoolgirl becomes the victim of harassment by her classmates after she has an abortion. A gang of vicious bullies plague the local school, targetting one defenceless young girl in particular—prompting action from the Mount Thomas officers who vow to stamp out the problem for good.

27. The Last Straw

August 22nd, 1995

The Blue Heelers are embroiled in a bovine saga when a farmer's prize bull is shot dead. Meanwhile on the personal front, Adam realises that Chris is not remotely interested in him.

The lives of Wayne and Nick tragically collide when Nick befriends a young graffiti artist and Wayne helps a mate. Maggie and Wayne prepare for the senior-constable exam.

Gold fever overcomes the citizens of Mount Thomas with potentially tragic consequences for one family. A public relations stunt turns dangerous.

33. Just Desserts

October 3rd, 1995

PJ is a witness in a case concerning the local Member of Parliament, Tabias, and when the prosecutor calls in sick with appendicitis Maggie has to fill in. But can she match up against the experience of defence lawyer Brady Jackson? After Maggie becomes friendly with Brady, PJ shows signs of jealously.

34. Unnatural Death

October 10th, 1995

When the police investigate the murder of a Vietnam veteran found stabbed to death in his hospital bed, they focus their investigations on a schizophrenic obsessed with knives.

35. Tough Love

October 17th, 1995

Nick has to relive a nightmare in order to help Tom's daughter escape from one of her own. Members of a nearby commune are suspects in a string of burglaries.

36. A Question of Loyalties

October 24th, 1995

Maggie enlists the help of an old ally to get to the truth behind the allegations hanging over PJ. PJ gets suspended after large amounts of money was found in his house. It is up to Maggie to clear his name and to prove that he was setup.

When Chris' niece runs away, abuse is suspected. The local priest becomes the suspect when he is names by the young girl's boyfriend.

38. Juggling with Smoke

November 7th, 1995

Melbourne Cup day hardly brings Mt. Thomas to a standstill when a series of burglaries rock the town.

39. The Discount Suit

November 14th, 1995

Everything seems to be coming together for Wayne when he finds friendship with Sal D'Angelo and his son Tony. After restoring an old motorbike in Sal's garage Wayne's thrilled to learn that the bike is worth thousands of dollars.

40. Brotherly Love - Part 1

November 21st, 1995

It is the annual police Christmas party and all goes well until Gina is raped and after Adam slept with her his brother is the main suspect. The only witness is Clancy, a mentally disabled man.

41. Brotherly Love - Part 2

November 28th, 1995

The Mount Thomas police are still trying to find Gina's rapist, and after Adam's brother is cleared the next suspect is a man who works for Chris. The police decide to set up the rapist by using Maggie as the bait, but will PJ and the others save her in time after the plan is called off? PJ and Maggie share their first official kiss.
