Season 1 Plot
The series follows the daily adventures of 6th year elementary school student, Toppa Bashin, who has a mysterious red stone pendant from his father. One day he meets J Sawaragi, the consecutive tournament champion, who possesses a similar white stone. J challenges Bashin to a battle in the alternate universe, Isekai World, where spirits are real.

Toppa Bashin, who received a pendent with a red stone from his missing father, goes to meet the Battle Spirits champion J Sawaragi for a match.

After his match against J, Bashin learns that he's a chosen card battler.
3. Parents Day in the Stormy Course of Life
It's Parents Day at Toaru Elementary school, and one of the rumored Nazo-Otona appears.
4. The Idol is My Sunshine
Popular idol My Sunshine disappears before a concert, and while searching for her, Bashin finds her alter-ego Suiren instead.
5. The Athletics Meet is Trouble
Bashin and J's elementary schools face off at the athletics meet.
6. Card Battler Hospital Visit
Striker feels useless while in the hospital, so he decides to learn Battle Spirits.
7. Shut up the Uproar
Bashin and Striker are locked out of a My Sunshine performance.
8. Break Through From the Front at the Field Trip
Bashin's class is going to Kyoto on a trip, but Meganeko is left behind.
9. Okyou's Labyrinth?
J locks in the guests at a party in his Kyoto home to catch a Nazo-Otona.
10. Big Maze is Big Trouble
In order to mend his relationship with his mother, J decides to give up Battle Spirits.
11. The Great Batosupi Operation
My Sunshine announces on Battle Spirits TV that she doesn't like Battle Spirits.
12. Unidentified Unknown Invitation
Bashin gives Siegfried to Striker, and goes off to try and win 100 battles without it.
13. Arrival of the Gunslinger's Apparition
It's the day of the tournament, but Bashin is still in his room, sleeping.
14. First Final is Smile After Tears
In the main tournament, Bashin and J make it to the final round.
15. A Faulted Perfect Christmas
Bashin is planning a surprise for his school Christmas party.
16. The Day Aibou Disappeared
After getting in a fight with Bashin over his deck, Aibou runs off.

Suiren's true identity is revealed to be... an old lady?

While Meganeko plays detective, J invites Bashin and his friends to test a new battle system.

Elliott plans to open a Battle Spirits school in America.

On the last day of school, Bashin decides to ditch the surprise party his class planned for Card Sensei.

Noticing how off Bashin, who still hasn't apologized to Meganeko has been, Striker decides he needs Valentines chocolate to feel better.
22. Being a Nazo Otona was His Secret
Meganeko starts her training under Card Sensei, where she chooses to be a yellow card battler.
23. Last Days as an Elementary Schooler
Bashin wants to test his new X-Rare on J, but he's still acting strangely.
24. Spring Batosupi- A Yellow Storm
Meganeko enters the spring tournament, disguised as the masked card battler Kiiroko.
25. A Flash of Light- The Cornerstone's Awakening
If he can defeat Kiiroko, Bashin will get to face J again in the finals.

J throws a graduation party, and Bashin brings Kiiroko along to surprise his friends.

Bashin and the others finally enter middle school, where both he and J find Numbers within their new schools.

Bashin wants to join the Battle Spirits club, which may not even exist.
31. A Student Council for Batosupi
My Sunshine learns that her new school lacks a Battle Spirits club, and tries to rectify that.
32. A Letter From the Speed Star
Hayami wonders if she needs to let go of Bashin, when he'd rather spend time with his friends than her.
33. Aim for the Weak Point for the Advisor Too!
The Battle Spirits club finds that they need an advisor to go on a trip for Golden Week.
34. The Treacherous Training Camp Jack
At training camp, Striker becomes concerned at the lack of teamwork from his fellow club members.

While their owners are stuck taking tests, the pets decide to confront Okyou.
