Season 1 Plot
This Motion Comics animated series, adapted from the nine-issue mini-series, focuses on the origins of Batgirl, who in reality is Barbara Gordon — the daughter of Gotham City Police Chief Commissioner James Gordon. When super villain Killer Moth crashes a masquerade ball, she drives him from the building, and a new caped crusader is born.

Batgirl interrupts a conflict at the masquerade ball and Barbara Gordon debates her future as a detective with her father. / Defying her father, Barbara Gordon interviews with a Detective for a spot on the force. She later sneaks into the Justice Society to further her cause. / Batgirl tries to contact the Black Canary and Barbara creates a costume for the masquerade ball.

Killer Moth crashes the masquerade ball the party quickly becomes a hostage situation. / Batgirl fights Killer Moth and comes face-to-face with Batman and Robin for the first time.

Batgirl is interrogated by Batman and Robin and Killer Moth strikes again./ Killer Moth meets Tough Tony and his gang and offers his services of protection against the new gang of Caped Crusaders. Detective Gordon summons Batman to stop Killer Moth./ Tough Tony's thugs threaten Killer Moth and Barbara Gordon prepares to make her true debut as Batgirl.

Batgirl jumps off a building to prove herself but Batman and Robin intervene. Batman brings Batgirl to the Batcave. / Batgirl wakes up in the Batcave and Robin shows her the secrets of the Batcave despite Batman and Alfred's disapproval. / Batgirl must undergo Batman's rigorous tests to prove she has what it takes to fight crime.
