Balthazar Season 1

A man and a woman are found dead in their home, and charismatic medical examiner Raphael Balthazar is called to the crime scene. Once there he immediately clashes with his new coworker, the intelligent chief inspector Helene Bach.

The realization that his wife’s killer might still be at large has left Balthazar in a state of shock. However, his duty cannot wait as he is called to examine a gruesome crime scene where a man was found beaten up and mutilated.

When Balthazar is called to examine a young woman found dead in a truck, he is surprised to find that she is frozen solid. The police have few leads to go on, until Raphael discovers some DNA that connects the body to a cold case.

While at the cinema, Balthazar is called to help a young couple that has been stabbed. But when Buck interviews their families to figure out what happened, she realizes that there is more than meets the eye to the 'happy' couple.

As he examines a dismembered body that was found in the river, Balthazar realizes there must be another victim. At the same time, he contemplates if he should share with Bach a crucial piece of information about Lise’s killer.

Season 1 finale. When Balthazar arrives to the scene of a horrific car accident, he discovers the body of a woman a few yards away. Even though the police assume she was killed in the crash, it seems she had been dead for hours.
