Season 1 Plot
In this alternate "future 1990s", Japan never went through the bubble-burst of our world, but rather, became the nexus of world finance, surpassing the United States. This is brought them the unwanted attention of terrorist groups such as the Red May, who want to take down the Japanese economy in order to destabilize the world for their own purposes. In response, the Japanese government has authorized the Special Security Force: an elite unit working outside existing legal framework, with a license to kill. For newcomer Haruka Mikawa, codenamed "Angel", the Red May insurrection is the chance for her to prove her skills to her partner Raiden ... but they soon find out that they aren't the only ones hunting terrorists, and it isn't long before the hunters become the hunted.

1. Special Security Force
In the future, terrorism in Japan has become commonplace, and the police have become as brutal as the criminals. A member of the Special Security Force, known as Angel, is the best of the best and will stop at nothing in her fight for justice.
2. The Disfigured City
Psychic hunters and a covert government group stalk the security force.
3. The Death Warrant
With the leader of the Red May in the custody of the SSF, details begin to emerge of a sinister high-level, governmental conspiracy that threatens the future of Japan from within.
4. Pain
The actions of Lucifer and the psychic hunters plague the SSF.
5. Wrath of the Empire
With Angel and the SSF trapped, Lucifer plots to destroy cyborg Raiden with her psychic powers.
6. Doomsday
With most of the SSF destroyed, Angel must face Lucifer alone.
