Fourteen hair and makeup superstars vie for the title of American Beauty Star; the artists must push their creativity and skills to the limit to impress new host Ashley Graham, mentor Sir John and judges Christie Brinkley, Yu Tsai and Leah Wyar.

The artists are challenged to create stunning, one-of-a-kind editorial looks inspired by the American city of their choice; things begin to heat up as they scope out their competition and get to know one another better.

Tensions flare as the artists must work together in the season's first team challenge; the artists travel back in time to create gorgeous modern looks inspired by the '70s, '80s and '90s.

The artists must bring their social media savvy as they create a perfect look and corresponding hashtag worthy of being posted on Cosmopolitan magazine's Instagram feed.

The artists are on edge as they are tasked with creating dazzling red-carpet looks with the opportunity of taking home $10,000 worth of jewelry.

Drawing inspiration from the hit Broadway musical "Waitress," the nine remaining artists are each paired with a deserving waitress to give them a gorgeous makeover and jaw-dropping new look.

The artists must give it their all as they create an exquisite look for the modern bride. Wedded bliss comes to a halt during an explosive catwalk down the aisle as the judges fight to keep their emotions in check during an intense elimination.

With Disney Channel's hit movie franchise, “Descendants 3,” as their inspiration, the artists must work in pairs to create “hero” and “villain” looks that are both magnificent and cohesive. The judges’ intense scrutiny and attention to detail has the artists on edge during a fiery elimination.

Emotions and nerves run high as the remaining artists must prove that beauty is ageless when they get a special surprise - the chance to give the important women in their lives the stunning makeover they deserve.

As the competition nears its end, the remaining artists must create a campaign look and pitch that embodies their unique brand as an artist; a shocking elimination shakes the artists.

With the finish line in sight, the artists feel the pressure as they pair with top NYC fashion designers to create inspired looks that complement the designers' three-piece mini collections.

The final four artists must create jaw-dropping looks inspired by one of the four elements: water, earth, wind and fire; an emotional elimination reveals which three artists will go on to compete in the live finale where America votes for the winner.

The competition reaches its climax as the three finalists travel to New York City to show off their final looks in front of a live audience; the artists have one last shot to prove they are worthy of the title as America votes to decide who will win.
