Alan is joined on the sofa by comedy actress Julia Davis who chats about the DVD release of Hunderby, comedian John Bishop pops by to talk about the DVD of his latest stand-up show Rollercoaster, Mel C, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell join Alan to talk about Viva Forever!, the new musical based around the songs of The Spice Girls; while Rita Ora performs her latest single, Shine Ya Light, live in the studio.

Joining Alan on this week's show is top Welsh comedian Rhod Gilbert who chats about his latest tour and DVD release. The effervescent Paul O Grady pops in to tell Alan about his latest autobiography, Still Standing and the return of Lily Savage in this year's panto production of Aladdin at the O2 Arena. Plus, Noel Gallagher chats and perform AKA... What a Life from his latest album.

Sir Ian McKellen talks about reprising his role of Gandalf for the forthcoming film: The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, and Miranda Hart gives the lowdown on her award-winning series Miranda. And music is from Kylie Minogue who performs a special version of Better the Devil You Know from her latest album, Kylie: The Abbey Road Sessions.

Alan's Christmas special is full of festive frolics plus the odd song or two by Alan's Christmas house band McFly, who perform a special medley of their greatest hits.
