Zoe Saldana Wants Gamora to be the Villain in 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3'
What should happen next for Gamora after the events of "Avengers: Endgame"?
Zoe Saldana would like to see her character, who was killed in "Avengers: Infinity War" and brought back to life from a previous timeline in "Endgame," turn to the dark side.
The version of Gamora in "Endgame" had not yet become a member of the Guardians and most certainly did not have a relationship with Star-Lord (Chris Pratt).
“It all depends on what Marvel and James Gunn desire to do with the ‘Guardians’ and with Gamora’s fate," Saldana recently told fans at Seattle’s ACE Comic-Con (as reported by i09) when asked about the next film. “There’s a part of me that wants her to go back. Find her way back to the Guardians. But there’s also a part of me that wants to explore a bad Gamora.”
Saldana continued, "She’s considered the most lethal assassin, the most lethal woman in the galaxy. So I would want to see what that wrath looks like, also because it would just give me layers to sort of work on. But yeah, I want her to get back to the Guardians."
While "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" is back on Marvel's to-do-list after re-hiring director James Gunn, it doesn't yet have a release date.
That could be revealed later this month at Marvel Studios’ Comic-Con presentation in San Diego.
