'Wonder Woman' Director Patty Jenkin Wants to Set Sequel Here
With the rousing commercial and critical success of "Wonder Woman," a sequel seems inevitable. And if director Patty Jenkins is behind the camera again for it, she already knows where she wants to set "Wonder Woman 2."
"The story will take place in the U.S., which I think is right," she told Entertainment Weekly. "She's Wonder Woman. She's got to come to America. It's time."
Diana Prince in America for the swinging '60s? Or the disco '70s? Or any era, really — count us in.
Jenkins is game for a sequel, if Warner Bros. wants to hire her again (which it should). The director felt a good rapport with the crew and cast, including star Gal Gadot.
"I made 'Wonder Woman.' Now I want to make 'Wonder Woman 2,'" she said. "It's a beautiful story to tell, an important time to tell it and with people that I love."
For now, Wonder Woman aka Diana Prince will appear in the upcoming "Justice League" movie.
