Wendy Williams Fainted Live on Her Halloween Show: 'That Was Not a Stunt'
Wendy Williams' fans are worried she was more than "overheated" when she passed out on Halloween.
Williams "The Wendy Williams Show" on Tuesday, while dressed as the Statue of Liberty. (There's a metaphor in there somewhere.)
It was a particularly bizarre way of fainting, with the talk show host seeming to slur her words, wobbling backward, and even looking scared before falling over. The audience gasped, and crew members rushed forward before the show cut to commercial.
When the show returned from break, Williams seemed much better, and addressed what happened:
"That was not a stunt. I overheated in my costume. I did pass out. But you know what? I'm a champ and I'm back."
A rep for the show later told People:
"Wendy is feeling much better. She overheated because of her heavy costume, makeup, and lights. She was able to finish the show in true Wendy spirit. She will address the incident on tomorrow's show."
She already addressed what happened on Twitter:

However, as some fans noted, her symptoms sounded worse than just overheating.
As a nurse slurred speech and delayed thought process are signs of TIA or mini strokes. It's more than overheating please get checked out

She said caress instead of guest, eyes were locked and she went to grab her head. Her brain was doing something it shouldn't.Not overheating

Yes, let's hope she did go to her doctor after the taping instead of just brushing it off as overheating. Maybe she was overheated, but she did say "caress" instead of "guest" and exhibited signs of other medical issues. Take it seriously, Wendy!
