Tom Hardy Is Back from the Dead in Intense 'Taboo' Trailer
The new trailer for "Taboo" promises "pure drama," and it looks like the upcoming limited series will deliver.
Starring Tom Hardy, the miniseries follows James Keziah Delaney, a man believed to be dead who returns to London to claim his inheritance. This isn't exactly the return of the prodigal son, though. James finds a dark legacy, a host of enemies, and the threat of death.
The trailer, released Saturday by the BBC, shows what a treacherous course the character has ended up on. There's revenge to be had, not to mention violence and betrayals ahead. We see glimpses of it all in the preview, and let's just say that it is intense.
"Taboo" is created by Steven Knight with Hardy and his father, Chips Hardy, who serves as consulting producer. The series will run for eight episodes, the first of which airs in the U.S. on Jan. 10 on FX.
