Tom Hanks and Emily Blunt to Host 'SNL,' Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars to Perform
This season of "Saturday Night Live" is gearing up to be a big one, with some big names set to appear on the show over the next few weeks.
"SNL" announced on Friday that Emily Blunt and Tom Hanks would be the next two stars set to host the sketch comedy series. And they're bringing along some A-list musical guests, too.

Blunt is up first, emceeing on October 15 with musical guest Bruno Mars. This will mark Blunt's "SNL" debut, while Mars is performing for the fourth time (he also served as both host and musical guest back in 2012).
Next up is Hanks, a familiar presence on the "SNL" stage since his 1985 hosting debut, though he hasn't emceed since May of 2006 (he has made several cameo appearances on the show in recent years, though, including on Mars's episode). The Five Timers Club member will host for the ninth time on October 22, with a performance by Lady Gaga. This will mark Gaga's third time as the "SNL" musical guest, with her last appearance on the program occurring back in 2013, when she was also the host.
Margot Robbie hosted last week's season 42 premiere, and Lin-Manuel Miranda is set to emcee this weekend. October is going to be a great "SNL" month.
