Netflix Reimagines 'To All the Boys I've Loved Before' as a Horror Flick With Fake Trailer
Netflix's "Summer of Love" quickly escalated to Halloween horror.
In honor of the spooky holiday, the streamer repurposed footage from its hit rom-com "To All the Boys I've Loved Before" to make a fake horror trailer. Even though the film was more hearts and flowers than blood and gore, you might be surprised by how well it worked. It turns out even the most innocent of lines can sound creepy in the right context.
The magic of video editing ready does add mystery and suspense to "To All the Boys I've Loved Before." Protagonist Lara Jean Covey (Lana Condor) suddenly seems less guarded and more obsessed. Perhaps the best part example is when she finds the object of her affection, Peter Kavinsky (Noah Centineo), in the hot tub. What was a romantic scene in the movie is suddenly ominous when she asks him, "All by yourself out here?"

Entertained as we are by this fake horror version of the movie, let's hope Netflix's goes for a "To All the Boys I've Loved Before" sequel instead of "To All the Boys I've Killed Before."
