"This Is Us" is expanding its family! The hit NBC drama is promoting Jon Huertas and Alexandra Breckenridge to full-time series regular status for Season 2.

Huertas appeared in 11 episodes of the first season as Miguel, the best friend and colleague of Jack Pearson (Milo Ventimiglia). A twist at the end of the second episode revealed that he is the present-day husband of Rebecca (Mandy Moore), leaving fans to wonder how Jack's best friend wound up married to his wife.

Jack, of course, dies at some point before the present-day storyline, but how and when MIguel and Rebecca get together is a mystery.

Breckenridge appeared in five episodes later in the season as Kevin's (Justin Hartley) ex-wife, Sophie — who was Kate's (Chrissy Metz) childhood best friend. Kevin and Sophie reconnected when he moved to New York to star in a play, but their relationship was left hanging when he took a job in Los Angeles.

"This Is Us" Season 2 premieres Tuesday, Sept. 26 at 9 p.m. on NBC.
