"This Is Us" star Chrissy Metz (Kate Pearson) responded to a fan who called it "ridiculous" that actor Chris Sullivan wears a fat suit to play her co-star/love interest Toby.

"Watch What Happens Live" host Andy Cohen asked Metz about Sullivan's fat suit during Thursday's episode, and the actress politely disagreed with the fan who thought it was "ridiculous":

"I appreciate your opinion, and everyone has one, and that's great. I just feel that -- we tested a lot of gentleman who were bigger. And I get it. Like, people think the authenticity is kind of ruined by that. But Chris has been heavier, and I think he does understand the plight of being overweight. And also, he was the best man for the job. And people wear prosthetics all the time -- it's just weight as opposed to, like, a nose or a chin."

Andy Cohen noted that Metz herself wore a large prosthetic suit for in "American Horror Story." Metz agreed, saying she basically wore a "couch." "It's just the name of the game."

FYI, she said she's waiting by the phone for Ryan Murphy to ask her to return to AHS in any way.
