Yeah, people are going to get back to dying on "The Walking Dead" Season 7, but don't worry, Carol will still probably be told they're fine.

Showrunner Scott M. Gimple told TVLine the Season 7 finale will actually be less relentlessly dark than the Season 6 finale -- which introduced Negan's lineup, then took a break for several months while we waited at the edge of our seats -- but it will still include deaths.

"Well, there are losses," Gimple said. "As the stakes get higher and higher... things start to get more intense and heartbreaking, and yet everyone has to sort of band together and keep going." On that hopeful note, Gimple said the Season 7 finale "has darkness and light, real horrific moments, betrayal, and real moments of beauty, redemption, love, and friendship. It's sort of the panoply of human and 'Walking Dead' experience."

Look at him dropping 50-cent words like "panoply"! The betrayal sounds ominous. Beauty, love, and friendship sound good. Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) previously teased that he "did a little jig" and punched the air when he read a certain section of the Season 7 finale script; Lennie James (Morgan Jones) said the finale has "a sexy moment, on all levels – it's huge, it's just so lovely."

Without getting spoilery -- 'cause we don't even know what will happen to spoil -- it does sound like we should expect to lose Sasha, just because Sonequa Martin-Green booked the lead on the CBS show "Star Trek: Discovery." Whenever any star has landed a major role in the past, that has meant their character was about to leave TWD.

Will Sasha and Rosita get into trouble with their Kill Negan NOW plan? Will Eugene betray the group? Will the first shots of All Out War be fired? Will anyone ever tell Carol about Glenn? Will Jerry survive? We can't handle the loss of the one true king, Jerry!

At this point, we're only up to Episode 13, "Bury Me Here," which airs March 12, so it's possible several answers are coming even before the big finale, Episode 16, which is titled "The First Day of the Rest of Your Life."

"The Walking Dead" airs Sunday at 9 p.m. on AMC.
