It may seem inconceivable, but it's true: "The Princess Bride" is turning 30 today.

The classic fantasy adventure flick, first released on September 25, 1987, was initially a theatrical flop, but went on to achieve cult status on home video, becoming one of the most beloved movies of its era. Now, stars are lining up to pay homage to the sweet, funny, endlessly quotable movie.

Cary Elwes, who played Westley in the film, shared a throwback snap on Instagram celebrating the 30-year milestone, noting in the caption that the movie "changed my life forever." The double image features Elwes alongside costars Chris Sarandon (the evil Prince Humperdinck) and Mandy Patinkin (Inigo Montoya), as well as director Rob Reiner.

Elwes wasn't the only one getting sentimental, though: The Hollywood Reporter asked a bunch of celebs at the Toronto International Film Festival (where "The Princess Bride" first debuted, nabbing the People's Choice prize) to name their favorite lines from the flick. As you'd wish expect, there were plenty of great responses, as well as some hilarious anecdotes from passionate famous fans of the film.

BRB, going to dig out our DVD and do a re-watch ASAP. (And Emma Roberts, you better make sure you actually see this movie now, or else we'll send Inigo Montoya to hunt you down.)
