The Official 'Blade Runner 2049' Trailer Is Stunning Chaos
The end of the world has never looked as good as it does in the "Blade Runner 2049" trailer.
Director Denis Villeneuve ("Arrival") joined forces with cinematographer Roger Deakins for this visually stunning sci-fi sequel set 30 years after Ridley Scott's "Blade Runner." Harrison Ford's Rick Deckard is back, co-starring alongside Ryan Gosling as new LAPD officer K.
Jared Leto starts off Warner Bros.'s official trailer, talking about how every civilization was built off the back off a disposable workforce. "But I can only make so many." He caresses a new creation. "Shhh. Happy birthday."
Indeed. Check out the trailer, which includes the tease, "There are still pages left in this story":
The "Blade Runner" sequel co-stars Robin Wright, Mackenzie Davis, Carla Juri, Lennie James, and Dave Bautista. Here's the synopsis from Warner Bros.:
"Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what's left of society into chaos. K's discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years."
"Blade Runner 2049" will be released in theaters on October 6th.
