'The Last Jedi' Director Apologizes for the Rise of 'PorgNation': 'I'm So Sorry'
Porgs. They're everywhere. And Rian Johnson is sorry if you're already sick of them. (But he'll be riding that "sorry" all the way to the bank.)
"Star Wars: The Last Jedi" comes out in just a few weeks, and fans already have strong feelings about Porgs. The new Ewoks? The new Jar Jar Binks? The new Chewbacca? Time will tell. But Twitter is already riding the Porg wave, giving the little guys their own Emojis, including on the hashtag #PorgNation.
Most fans seem to love Porgs, but Episode VIII director Johnson seems worried about overkill:

Johnson also replied to some fan posts:
Ooooof

I love that one so much

The rest of Twitter had more fun with #PorgNation:
OMFG. #PorgNation IS AN OFFICIAL MOVEMENT.

Maybe "The Rise of Porg Nation" can be part of Johnson's new "Star Wars" trilogy?
"Star Wars: The Last Jedi" opens in theaters Friday, Dec. 15.
