Home is where the heart is in the trailer for "The Last Black Man in San Francisco." 

The indie drama is based on the life of Jimmie Fails, who stars as a version of himself. It debuted at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year to rave reviews.

Jimmie is obsessed with the Victorian-style house his grandfather (Danny Glover) built in the heart of San Francisco in 1946. Now owned by gentrifiers, Jimmie and friend Montgomery (Jonathan) sneak in to care for the building when the owners aren't there and imagine what life would be like if the neighborhood hadn't changed.

When the owners move out, Jimmie attempts to recreate the home his family once had. But has San Francisco changed too much to bring back the sense of community he longs for? Could it be time for Jimmie to move on somewhere else?

The movie is gorgeously directed by Joe Talbot in his feature debut. He won the U.S. Dramatic Directing award at Sundance.

"The Last Black Man in San Francisco" opens in theaters June 14.
