'American Crime Story' Season 2 First Look Explores a Sensational Murder
It's time to bone up on "The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story."
The second season of the true crime anthology series is diving into a new murder and public frenzy. As the title indicates, the focus this time around is on the 1997 murder of the famed Italian fashion designer. If you don't remember the impact it had on the country, FX Networks released a first look on Thursday that explores just that.
In the video, interviews with cast members Penelope Cruz, Edgar Ramirez, Darren Criss, and Ricky Martin, as well as executive producers Brad Simpson and Nina Jacobson, are interwoven with scenes from the series. Together, they show how the death of Versace (Ramirez) came about and how it captured national attention.
"For every season of 'American Crime Story,' what we're interested in is what makes this an American crime, a crime America is guilty of, not just the characters we're exploring," Jacobson tells viewers.
