Secrets and lies are the bread and butter of "The Affair," and season 3 is dishing out an oversized portion.

Showtime unveiled the trailer for season 3 of the romantic drama, which fast forwards three years. Noah (Dominic West) is finishing up his prison sentence for killing Scotty — though he didn't actually do it, as we learned in the season 2 finale. It was his drunk ex-wife Helen (Maura Tierney) who was behind the wheel, while his affair partner Alison (Ruth Wilson) pushed Scotty into the road during an argument. Oh also, Alison confessed that her baby, Joanie, was not Noah's, but her ex-husband Cole's (Joshua Jackson). So. Many. Secrets.
Now, a few years have passed. Cole and his new wife Luisa (Catalina Sandino Moreno) seem to have custody of Joanie, though Alison is keen to spend more time with her. Luisa worries that Alison is trying to reunite with Cole.

Meanwhile, the now-free Noah has a new love interest, played by French actress Irène Jacob. Interestingly, this season will feature five perspectives, including hers.

"The Affair" premieres Sunday, November 20 at 10 p.m. on Showtime.
