'The 100' to End After Season 7 on The CW
The post-apocalyptic drama "The 100" will conclude after its upcoming seventh season on The CW.
The CW President Mark Pedowitz announced the news at the Television Critics Association press tour. He noted that creator Jason Rothberg had always intended to end the series after seven seasons.
“We’ve been very good at listening to our showrunner creators about the right time to end our series,” Pedowitz said.
Rothenberg tweeted:
"The 100" follows a group of post-apocalyptic survivors, including teen criminals played by Eliza Taylor, Bob Morley, and Marie Avgeropoulos. After spending generations on a ship, they attempt to settle once again on a planet, but encounter obstacles, dangerous enemies, and internal strife along the way.
"The 100" will be the third CW series to end next season, along with "Arrow" and "Supernatural."
