The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have another (presumably pizza-filled) adventure ahead.

Paramount Pictures has yet another film about everybody's favorite sewer-dwelling mutant reptiles in the works, and there's now a writer on board. Andrew Dodge has signed on, THR reports. The screenwriter previously wrote the 2013 comedy "Bad Words" starring Jason Bateman, earning himself a spot on the prestigious Hollywood Black List.

Dodge will get to take classic '80s characters -- Leonardo, Michaelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael -- who originated in the comic book series and give them another story. The turtles gained wild popularity through the animated TV series that debuted in 1987, and they were the focus of the franchise's inaugural movie in 1990. Since then, they've been the subject of five more films; the most recent two were released in 2014 and 2016, and were a reboot of the '90s trilogy.

The upcoming film already has some heavy-hitters involved. Michael Bay, Andrew Form, and Brad Fuller are producing through Platinum Dunes, the production company behind movies like "A Quiet Place," "Friday the 13th, "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre," and many more.

So far, Paramount has not announced a release date for the next Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie.
