NBC Renews 'Superstore' for Season 5
NBC is restocking "Superstore." The sitcom has officially been renewed for Season 5.
The comedy is currently in the midst of its fourth season and will soon return from its midseason hiatus. "Superstore" boasts an ensemble cast that includes America Ferrera, Ben Feldman, Lauren Ash, Colton Dunn, Nichole Bloom, Nico Santos, and Mark McKinney. They play a group of employees at a big-box store. Now, their Cloud 9 adventures are slated to continue in the show's fifth season.
Lisa Katz and Tracey Pakosta, NBC's co-presidents of scripted programming, shared glowing comments about the show. "Week after week, Justin Spitzer, our amazing writers, and cast and crew masterfully deliver a comedy that not only makes us laugh but speaks to the larger issues of the day," they said in a statement, per TVLine.
The "Superstore" cast was understandably excited about the renewal. Many of the show's stars tweeted about Season 5 soon after the news broke.
