'Supergirl' Season 3 & Crossover Will Be 'Danvers Sisters-Centric'
Super-Sisters are doin' it for themselves in "Supergirl" Season 3. You may have already read that Kara (Melissa Benoist) and Alex Danvers (Chyler Leigh) will have a hometown road trip -- with high school flashbacks -- in Episode 6, "Midvale." But that's not the half of it.
"Supergirl" executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told Entertainment Weekly the whole 2017-2018 season, and the four-series CW superhero crossover event, will be very focused on Kara and Alex.
Here's more, starting with a fan question to EW:
Outside of the "Midvale" episode, are we going to see a bigger focus on the Danvers sisters this season on Supergirl? — Cheyenne
When I pressed EP Andrew Kreisberg on whether more of the Supergirl characters would get to take part in the upcoming four-way crossover event, he dropped quite a tease. "Kara and Alex are at the center of it through all four hours," Kreisberg says. "One of the things we've been doing a lot this season is getting back to Season 1 and really making it Danvers sisters-centric, so a lot of what's going on this season is Kara and Alex doing things in tandem, and the crossover won't be any different."
Yes, please. That crossover will air over two nights. Here's a reminder of the schedule:
- Monday, Nov. 27 ("Supergirl" and "Arrow")
- Tuesday, Nov. 28 ("The Flash" and "Legends of Tomorrow")
"Supergirl" Season 3 premieres Monday, Oct. 9 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
