Spice Girls Reuniting to Make Animated Superhero Movie
Tell me what you want, what you really, really want ... if you said a Spice Girls animated superhero movie, you're in luck!
Variety reports that all five members of the group have signed on for their likenesses to appear in an animated superhero-themed movie promoting girl power. Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice), Melanie Brown (Scary Spice), Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice) and Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice) will voice the characters, who will have a corresponding power related to their personalities.
The project falls in line with the women said and posted on social media last month, after rumors floated that the group was considering reuniting for a tour. At the time, they released a statement saying, "We all agree that there are many exciting possibilities that will once again embrace the original essence of The Spice Girls, while reinforcing our message of female empowerment for future generations."

So it seems this animated movie is one of those "exciting possibilities" with a "message of female empowerment." The project is being shopped around to production partners. As one source told Variety, "The Spice Girls are thinking big in terms of a franchise on a global scale. They're the most successful girl group on the planet. It's just what Marvel or Disney needs."
The Spice Girls previously starred in the classic 1997 live-action movie, "Spice World."
