'SNL,' This Perfect 'Bachelorette' Sketch Should Not Have Been Cut for Time
It's not too late for "Saturday Night Live" to re-cut this hilarious -- and cringe-worthy -- spoof of ABC's "The Bachelorette" and air it before the premiere of Rachel Lindsay's season.
All they'd have to do is cut out former host Chris Pine's bit. Granted, he had some of the funniest stuff, but if the nearly 4-minute time was really a concern, just cut it down a bit and air it during next week's finale. Maybe even sub in a role for finale host Dwayne Johnson? Because if SNL can find time for a fake romance between Kyle Mooney and Leslie Jones (and it found 4:26 minutes during Melissa McCarthy's May 13 episode), it can make room for this timely parody, which actually gives Sasheer Zamata something to do.
Watch this and explain why it was cut in favor of, say, Pine's "World Peace Rap":Rachel Lindsay's real season of "The Bachelorette" premieres Monday, May 22 at 9 p.m. on ABC.
"SNL" will close Season 42 next Saturday, May 20, with host Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and musical guest Katy Perry.
