Barb on "Stranger Things" never got justice, but at least the actress who played her did.

After exiting the hit Netflix series, Shannon Purser nabbed a much bigger role in a movie that's coming to the streamer soon. Netflix unveiled the trailer for "Sierra Burgess Is a Loser" on Wednesday, and the actress stars as the titular character. From what we've seen so far, she'll tug at your heartstrings, big time.

The movie centers on Sierra Burgess, a smart teen who is labeled as a "reject" by her high school's mean girl, Veronica (Kristine Froseth). Although Sierra seems mostly comfortable with who she is, she starts to doubt herself when she develops a crush on a guy who texts her by mistake. As you'll see in the trailer below, catfishing ensues as well as an unlikely friendship between Sierra and Veronica.

The cast also includes RJ Cyler, Noah Centineo, Will Peltz, Lea Thompson, and Alan Ruck.

"Sierra Burgess Is a Loser" hits Netflix on Sept. 7.
