Ryan Reynolds is getting closer to Martha Stewart status.

After being mocked by his wife, Blake Lively, and fans alike for his ridiculous Christmas cookies, the "Deadpool" star managed to outdo his past efforts. For Valentine's Day, he baked a heart-shaped cake that actually turned out pretty well. Reynolds posted a photo on Instagram Wednesday, and the dessert looked festive and delicious. The only problem was that it might not actually have been edible, depending on how serious the actor was with his caption.

"I baked this cake for my wife," he wrote. "The icing is glue, 'cause I'm not a scientist."

We're going to assume that's a joke, but honestly, you never know.

Sadly, Lively didn't go public with any equally sweet gestures for Reynolds. Instead, she celebrated her love affair with fashion before attending the Michael Kors 2018 New York Fashion Week show. The "All I See Is You" star shared photos of her outfit along with a literal love letter to the designer. In it, she thanked him for introducing her to New York City's fashion world and told him, "From that day on, I've been yours. Always. Forever."

Reynolds clearly has tough competition for Lively's heart in Kors, but maybe his cake helped him win some points.
