Robert Pattinson Would Be Open to Another 'Twilight' Movie
While Robert Pattinson has mostly distanced himself these days from his starring role in the "Twilight" franchise, that doesn't mean that he wouldn't be open to revisiting Edward Cullen in the future. All he needs is some good Botox.
That's what the actor told Variety in a recent interview, joking about his aging appearance and what he'd need to do to prepare for reprising his famous part. Though no such movie is currently in the works, Pattinson told Variety that he and his agent were just discussing the possibility of a "Twilight" reunion flick -- and the actor said he'd be on board.
"I think I stopped mentally progressing around the time when I started doing those movies,” Pattinson quipped about the franchise, which wrapped its big screen run in 2012 with "Breaking Dawn - Part 2." “So it feels like not a day has passed."
“The amount of time I spend moisturizing, I am ready to play 17 at a moment’s notice,” he added with a laugh. “I’ve got the Botox out.”
Enough time has passed since the films left theaters that the series could indeed be ripe for revisiting, though officials at Lionsgate say that that decision is ultimately up to author Stephenie Meyer. Twihards will just have to keep their fingers crossed.
In the meantime, the original "Twilight" is returning to theaters for its 10th anniversary this fall -- un-Botoxed Pattinson and all.
