Robert Downey Jr. Gets Salty About Creative 'Iron Man' Depiction
UPDATE: Here's some cool background intel on RDJ's salty photo, as delivered by Stephanie Booker: "I'm working on a crazy worldwide scavenger hunt that just wrapped called G.I.S.H.W.H.E.S. (the Greatest International Scavenger Hunt The World Has Ever Seen), founded by "Supernatural" star Misha Collins. Participants ("gishers") complete inspiring and weird challenges ("items") intended to break people outside of their comfort zone, spread kindness and create social good within their respective communities. Each hunt has about 200 items to be completed over a week. Tens of thousands of people in over 100 countries participated in this year's Items. Here is a highlight video of the 2014 Hunt. William Shatner actually participates (check out his twitter background image) as well as a few other figures (Felicia Day and property brother, Jonathan Scott, among others). One of this year's challenges was 'Let's see a portrait of Robert Downey, Jr. or Ironman made entirely of salt and pepper.'" And the result was images like the one below, plus this and this and this. Nice!

Thanks to "Iron Man,"Robert Downey Jr. is one of the richest actors alive, but he still has a taste for the simple things in life, including a salty joke.
Using just two spices, an artist made a pretty genius rendition of Tony Stark/Iron Man. Not sure who made it (RDJ himself?), or how long it took, but "The Avengers" star -- a rare tweeter -- shared this image on August 10, along with a little wink to Tony's lady love, Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow):
Hopefully Pepper won't get jealous of salt... pic.twitter.com/OIZQso7CwB

Get it? Pepper? Salt? Gold! Hopefully there were no cats on the premises to step in this -- 'cause you know that would be their immediate goal.
This salt-n-Pepper shot is the first thing RDJ has tweeted -- or posted to Instagram -- since he dubbed July 31 "#FerrariFriday." Back in late May, he posted a photo of himself on what looks like a private plane, writing, "We work weekends ..for your viewing pleasure... #marvel #civilwar #pickyourside." "Captain America: Civil War" pits Cap vs. Iron Man and it opens May 6, 2016. Check out some recent set photos over here.
