Some lucky people will get to watch a real-life fairytale princess wedding because Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are inviting the public to their May nuptials.

More than 2,600 members of the public will be allowed on the grounds of Windsor Castle, where they can watch the bride and groom arrive at St. George's Chapel and then depart after the ceremony in a carriage for a procession through the town.

"Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle have said they want their wedding day to be shaped so as to allow members of the public to feel part of the celebrations too," Kensington Palace said. "This wedding, like all weddings, will be a moment of fun and joy that will reflect the characters and values of the bride and groom."

The attendees will be drawn from around the United Kingdom and nominated by the offices of the Lord Lieutenants. The guests will include young people who have shown strong leadership, and those who have served their communities.

Two hundred people will come from charities and associations linked with the prince and the former "Suits" star, like WellChild for seriously ill children and the Invictus Games for sick and injured veterans and serving military members.

The official guest list for the ceremony has not been revealed yet. The wedding will take at 12 p.m. GMT (7 a.m. ET). Following the carriage procession, the couple will attend a reception at Windsor Castle and then another private reception for family and friends hosted by the Prince of Wales.
