Everything goes to hell in the trailer for the fourth and final season of "Preacher."

AMC debuted the trailer at San Diego Comic-Con this weekend. As the series inches closer to the finale, God’s endgame for the universe begins to click into place.

Jesse (Dominic Cooper) and Tulip (Ruth Negga) set out to rescue Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun), who's been captured by the Grail.

Trapped between heavenly prophecies, hellish prisons, and all-out nuclear war,  the trio must make their bloody way to the Most High. Whether they can reach God in time — or whether all this carnage is part of His divine plan — will be revealed as "Preacher" barrels towards the end of the world.

"Preacher" Season 4 premieres Sunday, August 4 at 9 p.m. on AMC.
