Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the duo behind "21 Jump Street," "The LEGO Movie" and "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs" have found a new home at Universal.

The just signed  first-look deal with Universal Pictures to develop feature films. That could include comedies, dramas, original content or existing IP.

They already have a  five-year overall television deal with Sony Pictures Television.

“Universal has a history of breaking new ground and championing unexpected voices, so for us it’s a very welcoming environment to make bold, original films that push the medium forward,” said Lord and Miller in a statement.

Trademark humor intact, they added, "We also feel a deep obligation to leave something behind for future generations of studio executives to reboot."

Just noting that existing Universal properties include "Minions," "Jurassic World," and the "Fast and Furious" franchise.

The pair has  has several projects in various stages of development, including "Artemis" based on the novel by Andy Weir (not to be confused with Disney's "Artemis Fowl"). And over at Fox, they have live-action adaptation of "The Last Human" for Sony, which started a bidding war.

The duo collected an Oscar as producers for last year's "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse."
