Pete Davidson Promoted a Robert Pattinson Film on 'The Tonight Show' Instead of His Own
Typically, guests on late-night TV shows promote their own work, but Pete Davidson might have missed the memo.
The "SNL" star was a guest on "The Tonight Show" on Wednesday, and he didn't spend much time talking about "Set It Up," the recently released Netflix rom-com in which he has a supporting role. Instead, he spent the bulk of his time chatting with Jimmy Fallon about how much he loves "Good Time," a 2017 crime film starring his fellow "Tonight Show" guest Robert Pattinson. Much to the surprise of everyone, Davidson even brought a clip from the other movie to show.
Fallon couldn't believe that Davidson was serious about showing a "Good Time" clip; he pointed out that the movie came out so long ago that people can already watch it on DVD or stream it. Still, Davidson was unfazed, and he talked up the film for several minutes before finally devoting a little time to his own.
Watch the hilarious interview below, which also includes Davidson addressing his recent engagement to pop singer Ariana Grande.
"The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
