Paul Walker's Brothers Look to Bring Him to Another Fast & Furious Film in a 'Tasteful' Way
The Fast and Furious family has been incomplete since the loss of Paul Walker in 2013, but there's talk of possibly bringing him back.
His brothers, Caleb and Cody Walker, hope to give him and his character, Brian O'Conner, one more ride, the Associated Press reports. The two previously had to stand in for their oldest sibling after he died in a tragic off-set car accident while "Furious 7" was still in production. They, with the help of CGI magic, were able to give their brother a moving send-off.
More recently, the two shared with the AP that they'd be interested in reprising the role, with Cody Walker adding the stipulation that it would have to "take a lot of thought" and "be tasteful."
"I think there could potentially be a way to do it," he said.
Caleb Walker was also interested, and in fact, he described it as a "dream."
"I just hope we get to -- I don't know -- have a little cameo and bring Paul back to save the day and I get to help create that again," Caleb Walker told the AP. "That's my dream and I hope we get to do that in one of the future movies."
There are at least two more Fast & Furious movies on the way, so it's possible there could be the opportunity. In the meantime, though, the focus seems to be on a spinoff starring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham (much to the dismay of some in the cast). The offshoot is slated to hit theaters on July 26, 2019.
For now, Paul Walker fans can see him in the new documentary "I Am Paul Walker," which premiered Aug. 11 on Paramount Network.
