Moviegoers have yet to experience rom-com staple Paul Rudd as a superhero, but he’s ready to don his “Ant-Man” costume again for the big screen.
“I figured that when you sign up for this that it can exist for more than just one—and in some form,” Rudd tells “Made in Hollywood.”
“I don’t know how or what the story will be, and I was excited by that—I still am, I can’t wait to find out where I go. I have some ideas, but I’m keeping some things to myself.”
In "Ant-Man" Rudd takes on Scott Lang, a former petty thief and father who helps his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, played by Michael Douglas, safeguard the Ant-Man technology – which allows its user to shrink in size and gain incredible strength. He can also communicate with ants and other high order insects through a specialized helmet, according to the comic book series.
With so much buzz about "Ant-Man," it's likely that Rudd continue with the character in a three-picture deal, as well as have appearances in cursory Marvel universe films.
Following "Ant-Man's" release, he will reprise the character in "Captain America: Civil War," in theaters May 2016.
Also starring Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, and Tip "T.I." Harris, the comedy-action movie hit theaters July 17. Watch the trailer below:
