Oscars 2018: Allison Janney Wins Best Supporting Actress
Who knew that Tonya Harding would inspire an Oscar?
The 90th Academy Awards, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, aired Sunday, March 4 on ABC. The award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role was already pretty much assumed to go to Allison Janney for "I, Tonya," based on her previous awards show wins.
The Oscars did not surprise on this point, giving her another win.

- Lesley Manville, "Phantom Thread"
- Octavia Spencer, "The Shape of Water"
Some fans were rooting for Laurie Metcalf to give a win to "Lady Bird," but it was not meant to be. There were no bad options!
