Original 'Halloween' Honest Trailer Mocks the True Villain
The original 1978 "Halloween" -- aka "Adventures in Babysitting" -- just got itself a classic Honest Trailer.
Finally, the original villain of the franchise is exposed. It isn't Michael Myers, "one of cinema's most iconic mouth breathers," who stalks girls the old-fashioned way -- "standing in clear view of them, then somehow Batman-ing into thin air when they're briefly distracted."
And yet the real bad guy is also standing in clear view: Dr. Sam Loomis (Donald Pleasence).
The trailer explains around the 2:40 mark of the video below:
"But Michael is just a monster, made by the film's real Frankenstein -- Loomis, a psychiatrist with a very loose grasp of psychiatry...
('I spent eight years trying to reach him, and another seven trying to lock him up.')
"... who doesn't exactly follow the Hippocratic oath, really messed up this kid's face at some point, and doesn't even obey handicapped parking signs.
Create an unstoppable killing machine? OK, fine. But you were parked outside a medical facility, sir, where is your placard?! Dick!"
Yeah, that is "totally" a dick move. Watch the full Honest Trailer:
It's true: Jamie Lee Curtis is a scream princess, the daughter of "Psycho" victim Janet Leigh and actor Tony Curtis.
JLC debut as Laurie Strode in 1978 and just brought her back in the 2018 "Halloween." That film is currently slaying at the box office, suggesting another sequel is ahead.
