"X-Men: Apocalypse"
The Apocalypse is nigh! Bryan Singer's "X-Men" sequel -- starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Oscar Isaac, Nicholas Hoult, Rose Byrne, and Evan Peters -- arrives on Blu-ray, DVD, and On Demand on Tuesday, October 4. Blu-ray extras include deleted and extended scenes, a gag reel, a wrap party video, audio commentary by director Bryan Singer and screenwriter/producer Simon Kinberg, an extensive behind-the-scenes documentary, and a photo gallery.

"Swiss Army Man"
Paul Dano stars as the stranded Hank, who feels hopeless and alone until he befriends a dead body named Manny (Daniel Radcliffe) and they embark on a surreal journey home so Hank can reunite with the woman of his dreams (Mary Elizabeth Winstead). The unique film arrives on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital October 4. Special features include a Q&A with the filmmakers, the "Swiss Army Man: Behind the Scenes" featurette, "Making of Manny" featurette, deleted scenes, and audio commentary.

"The Mind's Eye"
Zack (Graham Skipper) and Rachel (Lauren Ashley Carter) were born with incredible psychokinetic capabilities, but when word gets out, they find themselves the prisoners of a deranged doctor (John Speredakos) intent on harvesting their powers in this action/horror film available on DVD and Blu-ray October 4.

"Wild Oats"
Shirley MacLane plays a woman who mistakenly receives a government check for $5,000,000 instead of $50,000, so she and her best friend (played by Jessica Lange) head off to the Canary Islands, only to end up on the "most wanted" list. Demi Moore, Billy Connolly, Alan Arkin, and Judd Hirsch co-star in the comedy, which arrives on DVD, Digital, and On Demand October 4.

"Star Trek Beyond"
Watching the new "Star Trek" movie may not help you live long and prosper, but it can't hurt, and it's available on Digital HD October 4, ahead of the November 1 debut on DVD, Blu-ray, and On Demand. The Blu-ray is packed with bonus features, including a gag reel; deleted scenes; several behind-the-scenes featurettes with J.J. Abrams, Justin Lin, Simon Pegg, Idris Elba and other filmmakers; and the touching tribute "For Leonard and Anton" in honor of the late "Star Trek" actors Leonard Nimoy and Anton Yelchin.

"Casanova" (Acorn TV)
David Tennant, Peter O'Toole, and Rose Byrne star in this 2005 miniseries following world's most notorious lothario from the streets of Venice to the salons of pre-revolution Paris, and on to the London court of George III. Check it out starting Monday, October 3 on Acorn.TV, which streams great mysteries, dramas, and comedies from Britain and beyond.

"The Bureau" (SundanceNow Doc Club)
Season 1 of this hit French TV series starring Matthieu Kassovitz will be available for streaming in the U.S. for the first time starting October 3 on AMC's streaming service, SundanceNow Doc Club. The series follows French intelligence officer Guillaume "Malotru" Debailly, who returns to Paris after six years as an undercover agent in Syria. "The Bureau" was named Best TV Series by the French Syndicate of Cinema Critics, and Kassovitz received the Best Actor Award from the French TV Critics Association Awards.

TV Worth Watching

"The Flash" (Tuesday on The CW at 8 p.m.)
"Flashpoint" is the title of the Season 3 premiere, and that says it all. At the end of Season 2, Barry launched an alternate timeline where his parents are alive, he asked Iris on a date, and he's finally just a normal guy, with Kid Flash saving the city. However, Barry starts forgetting parts of his old life and Revenge Flash taunts him and says there will be serious repercussions for Barry and his loved ones if he continues to live in this alternate Flashpoint universe. Find out what happens in the premiere, then stay tuned for Tom Felton's arrival in Episode 2.

"Divorce" (Sunday on HBO at 10 p.m.)
Sarah Jessica Parker returns to TV in this HBO drama about a very, very long divorce. SJP plays Frances, who wants a fresh start away from her husband Robert (Thomas Haden Church), but it turns out making a clean break is harder than she thought. Molly Shannon and Talia Balsam co-star in the series, which premieres October 9.

"Conviction" (Monday on ABC at 10 p.m.)
"Agent Carter" may be gone, but Hayley Atwell is just getting started. In this new ABC series, she plays Hayes Morrison, a former First Daughter/bad girl/legal eagle who is blackmailed into heading a federal unit tasked with re-examining cases with possible wrongful convictions. New on Netflix

"13th" (Netflix Original)
This thought-provoking documentary on the criminalization of African Americans and the U.S. prison boom arrives on Netflix October 7. Here's the synopsis from Netflix: "The title of Ava DuVernay's extraordinary and galvanizing documentary '13TH' refers to the 13th Amendment to the Constitution, which reads 'Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States.' The progression from that second qualifying clause to the horrors of mass criminalization and the sprawling American prison industry is laid out by DuVernay with bracing lucidity. With a potent mixture of archival footage and testimony from a dazzling array of activists, politicians, historians, and formerly incarcerated women and men, DuVernay creates a work of grand historical synthesis."

"The Ranch" Season 1, Part 2 (Netflix Original)
Ashton Kutcher, Danny Masterson, Debra Winger, and Sam Elliott are back for part two of this sitcom's first season. The first 10 episodes arrived on Netflix in April, and the next batch of 10 are coming October 7. Netflix has already OK'd 20 more episodes for Season 2, coming in 2017.

"Dinotrux" Season 3 (Netflix Original)
The half dinosaur/half construction trucks are back for a third season of fun when DreamWorks's family series arrives on October 7.

"The Siege of Jadotville" (Netflix Original)
Jamie Dornan plays Irish commander Patrick Quinlan in this acclaimed drama arriving on Netflix October 7. Based on a true story, the film follows the 1961 siege of a 150-member Irish U.N. battalion by 3,000 Congolese troops, led by French and Belgian mercenaries working for mining companies.

Catch Up on Returning TV Series
The Fall TV season is in full swing, but if you aren't quite caught up on last season's shows, Netflix has several previous seasons available for streaming this week. "The Flash" Season 2, "The Grinder" Season 1, and "American Horror Story: Hotel" will all be available October 4. "Arrow" Season 4 is coming October 5. "iZombie" Season 2 arrives October 6. "Supernatural" Season 11 arrives October 7. And "The Originals" Season 3 and "The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 will arrive October 8.
