The new trailer for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" debuted Monday with a bitter Finn, a vengeful Kylo Ren and a Han Solo showing his age in wisdom and a touch of world weariness.
"I was raised to do one thing, but I've got nothing to fight for," says Finn as he goes AWOL from his service for the First Order, filling out out one of the driving forces in the plot.
Kylo Ren glares at what appears to be a melted Darth Vader mask and vows: "Nothing will stand in our way. I will finish what you started."
And Harrison Ford as Han Solo, introduced to "Star Wars" fans a long, long time ago as a wisecracking, cocky smuggler, is now older and much, much more serious.
Asked about "those stories of what happened," Han Solo says, "It's true. All of it. The Dark side, the Jedi, they're real."
Carrie Fisher's Leia makes a quick appearance -- she seems very upset -- but unless we missed it, Mark Hamill's Luke Skywalker is still nowhere to be found.
"The Force Awakens" opens Dec. 18 in the United States, a day earlier in the U.K., where the rush for advanced tickets crashed theater websites Monday.
