A new poster for the upcoming "Halloween" sequel features star Jamie Lee Curtis reprising her famous role -- and staring down the infamous Michael Myers.

The striking one-sheet, shared by Curtis on social media on Tuesday, is simple but powerful, with Laurie Strode (Curtis) front and center, and her nemesis (playing by Nick Castle, also reprising his role from the first film) lurking ominously in the background.

"Face your fate" declares the tagline at the bottom of the poster. Wearing a look of determination, it appears as if Laurie is gearing up to do exactly that.

"Halloween" is a direct follow-up to John Carpenter's 1978 original, with director David Gordon Green stepping in to help Curtis give closure to her iconic role (and ignore the many, many sequels that have been released in between). This time around, an adult Laurie must protect her family (including Judy Greer as her daughter and Andi Matichak as her granddaughter) from the return of Michael, who presence has loomed large throughout her life.

A new trailer for the flick is also set to drop tomorrow. Until then, enjoy this haunting image (and maybe leave the light on when you go to sleep tonight).

"Halloween" hits theaters on October 19.
